After Your Portrait Sitting
Once your posing session is over, you’ll get to take a short break and relax while Ben organizes and narrows down the session images to show you the best of the best. Then you’ll get to sit down with Ben and see all of the incredible images from your sitting. This is the only hard part of your session – choosing which images you want to order and deciding on print sizes!
Part of your pre-session consultation will have included discussion about the potential places in your home you want to hang images and what sizes or grouping you may want, so you’ll already have some ideas. It’s a good idea to bring wall measurements and even photos of the potential display spaces to your session to make it easier to order your printed portraits. Ben is great at helping you decide on size and scale, so don’t be afraid to ask for suggestions!
After you have made your portrait and size selections, Ben will apply his signature editing style to your portraits. Expect this process to take a few weeks, though you’ll get an estimated completion date when you place your print order. Once the editing process is complete, your portraits are sent to a top quality print lab. The final step happens when the printed pieces arrive – Ben will inspect each piece to ensure perfect print quality and then they’ll be ready for you.
If you would like to have your images framed, Ben has partnered with one of Louisville’s best framing companies, Brownsboro Framing. Ben’s portrait clients receive a special discount for framing on their Ben Marcum portrait. You can pick your frame stock and options right at the studio when you order your portraits or you can visit the Brownsboro Framing shop and see more options.
